As technology continues to dominate the 21st century, our dependence on it as a part of our education strategy will continue to grow. Through The CREATE Lab, we provide a focus specifically on educational technology and technology/computer science education that helps to concentrate the significant discipline knowledge of staff on how best to apply their discipline into education. For instance, a focus on robotics, serious games and simulation based training, all areas of significant interest in education, requires a combination of discipline knowledge in the areas of engineering and technology with a passion for learning and teaching, a set of characteristics possessed by staff across various areas. The CREATE Lab provides this leverage, connecting pedagogy and technology/computer science discipline knowledge.
